This old adobe home is built around a gem of a garden courtyard. Filled with roses,iris, daisies and geraniums, it provides an ideal setting for leisurely breakfasts or afternoon tea. In warmer weather birds sing in the trees as sunlight filters through the leaves. The outdoor kiva fireplace takes the chill out of the air on cooler days. For relaxing indoors, an over-sized fireplace warms the enormous "great room" with its 20-foot ceiling, vigas and hand-troweled plaster walls. The decor throughout the house is an elegant blend of southwest meets Provence. The adobe walls are painted in soft shades of sunlight. Lace curtains shade the windows, lovely Bauman prints grace the walls, and rustic Mexican furnishings inhabit every room. The seven bedrooms all feature private baths decorated with charming Mexican tiles, telephones, cable TV and air conditioning. |
