Once the center of a small Shenandoah Valley plantation, Stoneridge offers a glimpse of antebellum life just nine minutes from historic Lexington. The original house was built in 1829 with bricks made on the property. Surrounded by 32 secluded acres of countryside - fields, streams and woodlands; and abundant wildflowers, butterflies, and wildlife. Sit on the spacious front porch and enjoy the sunset over the mountains. Step through the original Adams style double doors and find restored rooms with high ceilings, intricate moldings, elaborate mantels, and heart-of-pine floors. The library offers an extensive collection of books, satellite television and a cozy fireplace. A full gourmet breakfast is served each morning; dinner is available by prior arrangement. Five guest rooms with queen beds, private baths, and central air. Three have double whirlpools and four have gas-log fireplaces. |
