The inn, lovingly restored by the Clarks in 1985, is filled with antiques and family heirlooms. Named for mining towns, guest suites boast all romantic suites with tubs for two, fireplaces, and more! Gourmet breakfasts, served in the elegant formal dining room or ensuite for an extra charge, might include chocolate chip muffins, Sallie??s famous Southwestern Eggs Fiesta, fresh fruit, gourmet coffee, tea and juice. Complimentary refreshments, homemade cookies, afternoon wine social and turndown service are just some of Holden House??s special touches. WELCOME ABOARD! The Royal Gorge Route Railroad is the best way to experience the Royal Gorge. Follow the most spectacular section of Denver & Rio Grande Railroad through the Gorge, with a view of the bridge above, the highest suspension bridge in North America. Choose from First-Class-including chef's choice of appetizers and a complimentary glass of champagne, Coach seating, or we can make a reservation for the famous Gourmet Lunch Train(weekends only).

Patty Jewett Golf Course, the third oldest public course west of the Mississippi, has been city-owned since 1919. The entrance sets the elegant mood, complete with a wonderful wrought-iron gate and a drive down a narrow road lined with a canopy of 100-year-old trees. The 18-hole course has a par of 72 and can challenge even the most experienced golfer. A separate 9-hole course is also available.
