A luxury inn on 5 1/2 acres of park-like grounds with fountains and blooming gardens. This "grand dame" of historical detail is a a "painted lady" in ten shades of blue, beige, burgundy and pink and features six distinctively decorated bed-chambers each with its private bathroom containing plush robes and slippers as well as hairdryers and shower massage. A host of upscale amenities includes nightly turn-down service with hazelnut truffles on the pillow. A gourmet breakfast is served in the Waverly appointed oak-paneled dining room and is set to classical music before a crackling fire in the cooler months. Ten varities of wood paneling and flooring as well as period antiques and collectables grace the interior of the manor which contains four working carved stone fieplaces, three porches and three parlours and an Adirondack Room reminiscent of the region"s "Great Camps". Hugh and Sandy Johnson truly create for their guests the ultimate as well as a unique and memorable "Victorian Experience" as well as providing a sense of financial value for all that they offer! |

From the NY/NJ area: Take the New York Thruway(I-87) to exit 24(Albany) to the Adirondack Northway(exit 1N after the tool booth). Continue on Northway to exit 28(Schroon Lake). Turn right at end of exit onto Rte 74. Take Rte 74 to the intersection of Rte 9N(McDonald's and Tops Supermarket), and turn left. Continue 7 miles to the Inn, which is located on left,just past the Catholic church and bank.
From Canada: Take I-87 south to exit 28(Schroon Lake) and follow the directions above. |
