The Dr Jonathan Pitney House was built in 1799, added to in 1848 and restored in 1997 by Don Kelly. The property consist of the Pitney Manor House which has six bedrooms each with a private bath, gas fireplace and beautifully decorated with period antiques from the colonial and victorian eras. The Dr's Guest Quarters was built on the foot-prints of the former carriage house and has four rooms. The Philadelphia room is handicapped accessible The other three rooms have
whirlpools in the bath and all four have TV/VCRs above the fireplace,
air conditioning, a veranda or patio.
The Pitney House is a suburban location only a few short miles from Atlantic City either by car or train. The train is a mere block and a half from the house and takes you into AC in 8 minutes for $1.00. The Pitney House experience has been described as "an oasis in a casino desert" |
