Built in 1893, Mont Rest is nestled halfway up a 9 acre wooded bluff overlooking one of the most panoramic views of the mighty Mississippi River. Sit in a rocker on the front porch and watch eagles catching fish from the Mississippi. We're the perfect setting for a honeymoon, anniversary, or just a get away weekend, and are located near two of the largest gambling boats on the Mississippi. Twleve luxurious guest rooms with private bath, many with fireplaces and Jacuzzis. All of our luxury rooms feature heated towel bars, Egyptian cotton towels, Turtle Wear robes, hair dryers, fresh flowers, and imported chocolates. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages are available in our main floor kitchen, and we offer such services as in-room therapeutic massage and reflexology. Our concierge service includes making arrangements for tee times at the Bellevue Golf Club, arranging canoe trips on the Maquoketa River, making dinner reservations for area restaurants and much more.

Cancellation:
You may cancel up to 30 days ahead of your scheduled arrival with no penalty. We will reschedule you for another date as you desire and as long as there is available space that day. If an emergency should arise and you have to cancel inside the 30 day cancellation period, please call us and we will try to resale your reservation. If we resale your reservation, you will be allowed to reschedule on a space available basis. If we are unable to resale your reservation, you will be held responsible for your reservation. You are welcome to reserve up to one year in advance. Please note the expiration date on your certificate. Due to limited space and the great demand for our rooms, we regret we cannot honor expired certificates.

Two Day Historic Riverboat Excursion
You are transported to a private dock in Bellevue where a boat is waiting to take you on a day long trip to historic Galena. Marvelous beverages and canapes are provided during the trip. You will cross the Mississippi River and up the Fever River to Galena, Illinois. There you will disembark the boat and browse through the many fine antique shops, boutiques, wineries, and historic sights. Galena was home to six Civil War Generals including General Ulysses S. Grant.
