Located on two landscaped acres of alpine forest midway between the Village and the Snow Summit Ski Area, the atmosphere at the Alpenhorn Bed & Breakfast is comparable to some of Europe's finest. Guestrooms have private baths with stall showers and separate whirlpool bathtubs for two, fireplaces, televisions and VCRs, phones, king or queen feather beds, and private balconies.
Breakfasts consist of fresh breads, seasonal fruit, our own granola, European-style coffee, fresh hot oatmeal, and a hot dish such as coddled eggs, apple pancakes, or cheese strata. Hot and cold beverages, along with freshly baked cookies, are available throughout the day. In the early evening, the Alpenhorn offers complementary hors d'oeuvres served with a variety wines. And for later in the evening, guests can enjoy a variety of after-dinner liqueurs and chocolates.

FROM GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA
Travel east on Interstate 10 five miles past intersection with 15 Freeway in San Bernardino. Take 30 to 330 and Mountain Resorts. Take Highway 330 on up into the mountains. In Running Springs, 330 becomes 18. Stay on the main road and follow the signs to Big Bear Lake. When you come to the dam, turn right across the dam and continue a few more miles into the City of Big Bear Lake. Youï¿œll enter the Village and come to a stop sign at Pine Knot. Turn left on Pine Knot and go a few blocks to the traffic light at Big Bear Blvd. Turn right and go four blocks to Knight Avenue. Turn right and go one long block. The Alpenhorn is on the left at 601 Knight. Turn left into the parking lot.
