Wonderful waterfront views and wildlife watching including birds and seals. Historic Pacific Coast Steamship Company building plus a newly built boathouse by the shore. Private baths, soaking tubs, and romance showers. Coastal, nautical décor. Queen/King pillow top beds with quilts or comforters and feather pillows. Robes provided. A unique feature of this fine inn is the boathouse beds. Each room has a bit of nautical whimsy with each bed set having been created from an actual boat. You may sail away to a calm weekend on a racing boat with a sail canopy, enjoy tranquil days upon a wooden fishing vessel complete with wheelhouse, or peacefully drift with a canoe along the river.

Flanked by Monterey Bay and Elkhorn Slough, Moss Landing is a nature loverâs paradise. The Wildlife Adventure package introduces guests to the areaâs unique ecosystems where sea otters, dolphins, harbor seals, whales, and hundreds of bird species reside. Guests can cruise the calm waters of Elkhorn Slough on a guided nature boat tour, or follow whales aboard a Monterey Bay whale watching vessel (year round!). The Wildlife package is available with a two or more nightsâ stay and includes 10% discount tour rates with Elkhorn Slough Safari and with Sanctuary Whale Cruises.
Massage by the Sea
You can relax with an in-room massages available from the Innâs licensed massage therapist. Choose from a variety of massage styles and aromatherapy oils.
Sweetheart Special
Captainâs Inn at Moss Landing adds a romantic touch to anniversary, birthday, and engagement celebrations. The Sweetheart Special package includes natural aromatherapy accents like rose petals or citrus slices for the couples deep-soaking tub, chocolates, and a bouquet of flowers with a personal note to a loved one placed in the room prior to arrival.
Bikes to Rent
Two mountain bikes are available to rent from the Inn. One is a galâs bike and one is a guyâs bike. You can peddle along the harbor, historic sites, along a dirt road behind the dunes, and around town. These are popular and should be reserved in advance, $25 per half day.
