The Ranney-Crawford House is an elegant circa 1810 brick Federal manor house, surrounded by gardens and meadows, and is located on a scenic country road close to Putney village. Large airy bedrooms are furnished with antique and period furniture with amenities that include air conditioning and private baths. Breakfast is a three course meal guaranteed to satisfy the heartiest appetite. Outdoor and cultural activities abound, especially cycling. We are known for our creative, gourmet breakfasts. Three courses may include, fruit and yogurt, biscotti, scones, interesting egg dishes such as fritattas, omelets, eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, ham, homemade hashbrown and potato pancakes. We use our own vegetables. Juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate.

Cycling in Southern Vermont
Arnie is an avid cyclist and loves to take people touring around the Southern Vermont area. He has cue sheets (available on our website} for both road and mountain bike rides. Our breakfasts give just the right energy for riding. We can accomodate groups or individuals. Small weddings or parties
We can accomodate small groups for celebrations. Our patio is a lovely area, and the lawn is expansive. How about a party in our meadow, ---very Tuscany! Family Gatherings

The Ranney-Crawford House (800 731-5502) is located at
1097 Westminster West Road, about five miles from exit 4 (Putney, Vermont),Interstate Highway 91. From the exit 4 ramp head toward Rt. 5 North and then continue on Rt. 5N to Putney Village (about a half mile, if you pass Basketville you've gone too far on Rt 5). At the Putney Village General Store, turn left and go 4.6 miles toward Westminster West. The Ranney-Crawford House is the brick Federal manor house on the left with the Ranney-Crawford sign in front. (Do not use Mapquest or Yahoo for your directions) |
