Details
Built by William J. Marshall, a business man of varied and successful enterprises that included real estate, farming, warehousing and the sale and production of tobacco. Henderson was once the richest per capita city in the U.S. due to the production of tobacco and the town's excellent shipping location on the Ohio River. Mrs. Marshall, niece of Lucie Posey, was the great-granddaughter of General Thomas Posey, a trusted staff member of General George Washington.
In 1894 this house was sold for $5,800.00 to a member of the Vance family who occupied the home for nearly 35 years. The house was then purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Hester of Henderson. Finally, in 1985, it was bought by the Owen family who raised their children here. Coy Owen then decided to turn this beautiful Italianate home into a Bed and Breakfast. The house is fully restored to her original days, with authentic antique furniture from the period.
Victorian Quarters offers privacy and comfort in beautiful style.
