Hickory Ridge House, Putney, Vermont's bed and breakfast inn, is surrounded by meadows, gardens and trees on a secluded road in Putney Vermont. A Federal manor house built in 1808 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places as Theophilus Crawford House, the Crawford home and family occupied a central place the history of Putney's farms, mills, and religion. Today, Hickory Ridge House combines its rich history with the amenities modern travelers require, and is recognized by independent travel writers such as Fodor's and Tree. Putney is home to Landmark College, Curtis' Bar-B-Q (BBQ), the Ninth Wonder of the World, open til dusk, The Putney School, The Greenwood School, The Putney Co-op, and Yellow Barn Music Festival (Hickory Ridge House, the 2003-2004 sponsor). |
