Built in 1893 the Lodge is a commodious house with superb water frontage. All of the guest rooms offer views of Penobscot Bay and islands beyond. There are over 250 feet of porches offering a peaceful place to enjoy your favorite book, or watch the seals, ospreys and boats. Castine is centrally located in the heart of Penobscot Bay Region, making it the perfect home base for exploration. Castine is full of history and boasts 2 museums, an historic walking tour, lighthouse, fine shops and restaurants. There is also golf and tennis available at the Castine Golf Course, one of the oldest in the country. Kayak and boat tours are available at the town dock as well as a tour of Maine Maritime's Training Vessel when in port. Come explore our community and more importantly come relax with us. |
