May Special Half Price Offer
For the 5th year, Blue Skye Farm is proud to participate in the Maine Innkeepers Association’s fund-raiser for Habitat for Humanity. Last year, with the help of our May guests, innkeepers across Maine raised $6,240 for this wonderful organisation. You are offered a 50% reduction on one night's stay at Blue Skye Farm between May 1 and May 23. In return, you will give us a tax deductible check made payable to Habitat for Humanity for $35. Together we will help provide a home for a deserving family right here in Maine.
Puffin Cruise
Eastern Egg Rock in Muscongus Bay, is one of four tiny Maine Islands inhabited by Puffins from late April through mid-August. Hunted to near extinction in the late 1800s, the Puffins are now protected here by the Audubon Society and Project Puffin. You can take a late afternoon cruise (one and a half hours) from New Harbor and see these lovely birds in their natural habitat. There will be an Audubon naturalist aboard to narrate the history of the puffins and to point out the other birds including a variety of ducks, cormorants and several species of terns, including the endangered Roseate Tern. Whale, dolphin and porpoise sightings frequently enliven the trip.
Combined with the splendid bird watching opportunities here at Blue Skye, this is a wonderful break for nature lovers. Two nights' B&B with Puffin Cruise for two:
May-June: $225
July-August: $325
